WFDB mourns passing of Wolfgang Gross 1918-2010

June 3, 2010: The World Federation of Diamond Bourses mourns the death of Wolfgang Gross, Honorary president of the Diamantklub Wien (Diamond Club of Vienna) and an Honorary Delegate to the WFDB.

JUNE 2, 2010: Diamantclub van Antwerpen held their annual bourse elections last week, electing Willy Rotti as president, Philippe Barsamian as vice president, with Thierry Polakiewicz and Michaël Suchowolski as managing directors.

Bourse elections held in Belgium and South Africa

APRIL 28, 2010: Elections were held  at two  WFDB-affiliated bourses , in  Belgium and South Africa, earlier this month, with both diamond exchanges electing officers and the board of directors for a new term in office.

Diamond Club West Coast elects new president

MARCH 15, 2010: The Diamond Club West Coast in Los Angeles has elected vice president Nikhil Jhaveri as its new president. He replaces former president David Marcus, who held the position for almost 10 years.

FEBRUARY 14, 2010: Industry leaders representing global diamond exchanges announced earlier this month that they met with the Gemological Institute of American (GIA) on January 27 in New York to discuss ways to continue to build consumer confidence in the diamond industry.

Diamond Bourse of Canada celebrates official opening

FEBRUARY 2, 2010: The Diamond Bourse of Canada has held its grand opening on January 27 at the Ontario Bar Association Conference Centre in Toronto. The bourse, which is the first diamond exchange in Canada, has been invited to attend as an observer the meetings of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses at the 34th World Diamond Congress in Moscow in June.
