Alrosa Reports 22% Drop in Rough Diamond Sales

Alrosa sold 18 million carats of rough diamonds in the first half of this year for $2.1 billion a 22 percent drop from the same period last year. By contrast, the firm sold 21.1 million carats of diamonds for $2.7 billion in the first six months of 2014.
