The Vereniging Beurs voor den Diamanthandel, worldwide known as the Amsterdam Diamond Bourse, was founded in 1890, which therefore makes it the oldest diamond bourse in the world.
For more than 130 years, it informs and stimulates the diamond trade and industry in the Netherlands.
Main goal of president Benno Leeser is to increase the brand awareness of the bourse in Amsterdam, traditionally knows as the ‘City of Diamonds’.
Furthermore, the board strives for recruitment of young(er) members at short notice due to the aging of the current membership base.
